Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate is a family-owned winery making this wine solely from hand-harvested vineyards controlled by the winery. This is arguably the best Syrah in NZ as acclaimed by several winemakers and us in a local Chinese restaurant recently! Violets, pepper, elegance, beautifully judged oak, mmmmm.
