Some of our favourite mid-week IPA’s. Sometimes with all the exciment and new releases we forget our favourites. This box is an ode to the phenomenal core IPA’s that grace our shelves, that are there through thick and thin. Bless you.
Each box contains 2 of each beer, for yourself or to share.
Beavertown - Lupuloid - a 6.7% ABV India Pale Ale. The most notable thing is that it is Beavertown’s first straight up IPA, no funny business, just malt, yeast, water and hops. Lots of hops. I guess it only took us four years!
Magic Rock – Cannonball - Cannonball is an India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a long sea voyage. We don’ t want you to wait though, crack the cap and let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. The hop bomb might just blow you away…
Cross - Borders - IPA – Resinous, hoppy and braw. This traditional style IPA is one of our all time favourites. Being based only four miles from the brewery, we always get the freshest stuff and here’s to many more batches of a solid core beer.
Fallen - Platform C - New world IPA bursting with hops from the Pacific North West. The juicy malt background acts as the perfect platform allowing the hops to shine.
Top Out – The Cone - Named after the part of the hop plant used in brewing, our Cone gets rave reviews for its intense, complex hop profile: strong and bitter with lots of grapefruit notes. Its all-American hops are added at four different stages in the brewing process, as well as double dry hopping.
Tempest – Soma - "The beer formerly known as Bomber" makes its grand return!
We couldn't possibly just let go of such a cracking IPA, so it's got a shiny new name and label but still the same wonderful tropical, juicy hop flavour we all know and love. It sits perfectly alongside Brave New World as two examples of the way we like our IPAs.
Plus, it recently dethroned Brave New World at the Scottish Beer Awards to be named Best IPA in Scotland!
