In 2020, 22 of the 217 plots of Pouilly-Fuissé in the famous Roche de Solutré area received the “Premier Cru” label. Among the selection criteria: the historical presence of vines on these plots, their recognition
in tasting guides and the natural characteristics such as altitude, slope and the nature of the soil. These Premiers Crus now have the same level of appellation as a Chassagne Clos-Saint-Jean or a Meursault Genevrières.
