If you know Great Grog, chances are you’ll know Gobillard - we’ve loved selling & drinking Thierry’s expertly crafted, reasonably priced cuvées since we started 16 years ago.
Located in the Hautvillers, 5 miles from Epernay at the very heart of the champagne region, Gobillard is still very much a family owned and operated chateau. Established in 1933 when farmer Gervais Gobillard purchased 2 hectares of vineyards, the passion for wine has been passed through the generations. The family currently have 125 hectares and produce 1.5 million bottles a year. Their vines are planted cheek to cheek with contemparies such as Dom Perignon, yet their price tag remains meagre considering the fantastic quality.
