From a humble beginning as 'Glenbrew' homebrew shop in Glasgow, a chance visit in 1988 by a lady with an ancient recipe for Heather Ale proved to kick start what is today known as Williams Bros.
This led to the brewing of 5 ancient ales, Grozet, Elbumun, Kelpi, Alba and of course Froach. As sales of these increased year on year, the decision was taken in 1994 with the acquisition of a new brewery in Alloa, to brew a series of contemporary brews alongside the traditional ales.
They now have over 25 new beers in their repertoir and continiue to brew, can, bottle and package all their beers on site.
