6 classic French wines, the perfect festive treat.
1 bottle of each.
Macon Solutre Pouilly Domaine Romanin, Burgundy
There are 3 villages in this area in Southern Burgundy, namely Pouilly, Fuisse & Solutre. The vineyards that this wine comes from are from between the 1st & 3rd (unsuprisingly!). Chablis-esque in style with a brilliant clean, citrusy quality and creamy texture.
Domaine du Pre Semelle Sancerre, Loire
Great producer; citrus, gooseberry, mineral, intense, zesty, full and round.
Muscadet Domaine de la Combe, Loire
Crisp, crunchy thing... the purest citrus juice and a touch of mineral salinity, no wonder if goes so well with seafood!
Cotes du Rhone Villages Seguret, Southern Rhone
Deep, dark fruit, cracked black pepper, exotic spice and vanilla. As sexy as red wine gets.
Chateau Le Peuy Saincrit, Bordeaux
Bordeaux Superieur- 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. A supple, plummy claret that punches above its weight.
Vallet Freres Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Burgundy
Traditional red Burgundy with a touch of earth underneath a ripe, sweet fruit core. Very lovely indeed.
