About the Producer

After completing a degree in oenology from Burgundy, an eight-month stage at Petrus, a year at Dominus Estate in Napa and a stint at Sacred Hill Estate in New Zealand, Jérôme Billard took over his family’s estate in Chinon in 2003.
It had been in the family since 1952 but was pretty neglected with no modernisation or replantings since then.
He has since doubled the vineyard area, converting to organic and built a new winery but kept the incredible centuries-old stone vat that is carved into the tuffeau in the floor
