Fun fact – until the 1980s, most Chilean wine sold as Sauvignon Blanc was actually Sauvignon Vert aka Sauvignonasse, mistakenly imported from Bordeaux. No, I’m not old enough to have tried it at the time, and no, I probably couldn’t tell the difference either!
