BURGUNDY. Delicious, dry, fresh and zesty Aligote from an excellent small producer (Denis Vervier), fabulous. A great alternative with seafood or as an aperitif.
Domaine Romanin is a very traditional (like their rustic website) grower/producer based in Pouilly Fuisse. Denis Vervier is a true artisan winemaker (an eccentric, like Richard), 6th generation of the family and winner of many awards for the wines. He makes wine for the romantics – quality fruit in perfect soils, small-batch, wine first and marketing second.
