LOWLAND: Lochlea are one of the few genuine farm distilleries in Scotland. All the grain they use to create their whiskies is grown 0n-site at their farm in Ayrshire. Production only started in 2018 but they’ve steadily released a stream of different styles, favouring blends of wines casks by default.
Ploughing is the end of year edition of Lochea’s seasonal range, which follows and is inspired by the annual working life of the farm. Aged in ex-Islay whisky casks, the Third Crop for 2024 maintains smoky and coastal elements, while embracing fresh fruit.
