Description
BEAUJOLAIS. Don’t be fooled by its lighweight mouthfeel, Fleurie Presidente Marguerite packs a punch – like a very slow summer fruit bomb explosion!
Cave de Fleurie, founded in 1927, has worked with many generations of its co-operative farmers across Beaujolais, including several vineyards it owns. In 1946, Margurite Chabert was the first woman (and only, allegedly) in France to be appointed the head of a wine co-operative. She led CDF for 40 years and was awarded the Legion D’Honneur for her efforts revitalising the Beaujolais region. This particular release is named after the remarkable Presidente Marguerite.
