McLaren Vale Nero d’Avola. Australian land, Italian grapes. It’s a thing,and a really good thing. Macerated raspberry, cherry cola and strawberry ice cream. A beautifully drinking summer fruit bomb.

The bucolic Coriole winery is based in the prime McLaren Vale appelation, with vines going back to the 19th century. Founded in the 1960s and still family owned by the Lloyds, they specialise in bringing lesser-spotted varietals from the old world – Nero, Fiano – to the new.
