LOWLAND: Our Barley is Lochlea’s main core release, aged in First Fill Bourbon Barrels, Oloroso Sherry Butts and STR Barriques. Fresh fruit and ceral, pear drops and bon bons, marmalade and cinnamon…70s tuck shop vibes.
Lochlea are one of the few genuine farm distilleries in Scotland. All the grain they use to create their whiskies is grown 0n-site at their farm in Ayrshire. Production only started in 2018 but they’ve steadily released a stream of different styles, favouring blends of wines casks by default.
