RIOJA: Does an organic, independent winery in the 14th generation of family ownership sound like something to get behind? You’ll soon love Bagordi as much as we do. As well as lovely people they make top, top class organic Rioja and throw out the rule book when it comes to aging – they release when the wine is good and ready, so their library of future releases is quite astonishing.
Crianza is aged for 12 months in oak, 12 months in bottle minimum but it can be for much longer. This is a powerful, heady organic Rioja, with ripe red fruits, exotic spice, vanilla and well-structured tannins. My Bagordi that’s good!
