Description
SAINT JULIEN. Spicy, ripe and fresh on the nose with cherry. Smooth and silky with structured tannins, rich epresssive blackcurrant and blueberry fruit before a lengthy fresh finish. Perfumed, aromatic and intense.
Originally starting with unclassfied vineyards (not given a class in 1895) in St Julien, a rarity with more than 80% classfied, Teynac under the Pairault family has expanded into Cru-classified and other notable parcels of vineyards. This makes Teynac a comparable bargain compared to most St Julien, which were already considered the underrated AOC of the Medoc.
