Description
BORDEAUX, FRANCE: The Laporte family has worked at the land at Tour Bel Air since 1760 and produce this traditional Claret with a fruity attack and well-integrated tannins. 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 25% of the blend aged in oak barriques to mellow things out and add a bit of rich cedar/vanilla character.
Montagne-Saint-Emilion, when you’re out in the Right Bank, is considered a bargain compared to neighbours in Pomerol and Saint Emilion while producing high quality, similar wines. As you might imagine, it has higher altitudes than the other AOC.
