Pays d’Oc is the biggest producing wine region of France and therefore one of the biggest appelations in the world. If you drink French wine, likelihood is you’ve drank a lot of Pays d’Oc. Perfect growing conditions and a varied climate mean producers are spread across the flat plateaus and foothills, producing a huge variety of wines. There are famous sub-appelations aplenty, including Picpoul De Pinet, Minervois and Limoux.
