IPA
IPA. Short for India Pale Ale, this is favoured amognst much of the craft beer community as the slayer of lager. The demand for an export style of ale proposed by the rise of the East India Trading Company.
Beer struggled on the long voyage across the waves and was often spoilt upon arrival into the colonies. The ingenious solution of adding more hops led to the creation of the style we know and love today.
Now with a variety of differentations within the style, a plethora of sub styles have formed making IPA’s one of the most varied beer styles to date.
Expect to taste Ctirus, Pine, Fruity and of course Bitterness.
