BEAUJOLAIS, FRANCE: Bursting with light cherries, cranberries and fragrant rose petals, this is as vivaciousness as it is elegant. This Gamay grape wine comes from the Cave de Fleurie Co-operative, synonymous with Mademoiselle Marguerite Chabert who was elected head in 1932, and helped make Fleurie Beaujolais famous. Each wine is aged in a vat to help preserve the fresh fruity character. We even get a hint of bubblegum to this wine – or that could be Simon?
