BORDEAUX, FRANCE: Chateau D’Issan is situated in the heart of the Margaux apellation on the Gironde estuary. This is truly Cabernet Sauvignon territory with 60% of the blend of this wine coming from the cassis laden grape. The Blasson D’Issan is made from yoyunger vines on the historuic terroir of the property. Soft silky tannins and a long finish. The 2017 vintage, while slightly over-shadowed by the 2016 vintage, was still superb and achieved optimal ripeness. Certainly cracking value to be had from this year. A huge wine which does well with hard cheese and game dishes.
