“Cheese and Wine” Tasting Evening in Support of Communities in Kenya

George Heriot’s School warmly invites you to a special “Wine and Cheese” Tasting Evening in aid of the communities surrounding the village of Ethi, nestled in the foothills of Mount Kenya.
Since 2010, Heriot’s has built a strong partnership with these communities through our pupil expeditions, and thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we’ve made a lasting impact.
All funds raised go directly to local initiatives, helping improve everyday life through better education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
George Heriot’s School has already supported:
- Concrete floors and plastered walls for classrooms
- Toilets in four junior schools
- A kitchen for a secondary school
- Clean water collection systems
- Roofs for schools and outbuildings
- Solar lighting for homes and study spaces
- Bicycles for midwives to reach remote areas
- Medical supplies
- Toilet Block for the Medical Centre
- A brand-new community library
This year, we’re excited to take 50 pupils back to continue this incredible work, and with your help, we can do even more.
