Description
BORDEAUX. Luscious Left Bank Claret with velvety tannins and rich, dark berry fruit. Second wine of one of Bordeaux’s most famous Chateau, Pichon Baron. Pichon Baron is unsual in having two Second Wines. The varietal breakdown is 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot with 30% new oak.
Pauillac is one of the four rockstar parishes of the Medoc along with St-Estephe, Margaux, St-Julian. These are most famous appellations in Bordeaux, and therefore the world. Pauillac was best known for minerals and cassis, but like the others is morphing into the nonetheless magnificent bold, full-bodied, luscious Left Bank Claret that are so beloved and popular (to those who can source them!).
